Farm & Commercial Vehicles
Welcome to the West Cumbria Vintage Club website. The club welcomes anyone who has an interest in vintage vehicles and machinery. The club raises money for charity by holding Tractor road runs and our annual Vintage Vehicle and Machinery Day.
The club is all about camaraderie and the shared love of all things old. Mechanical things that is, engines, machinery and things with a wheel or two or three or four (or more!). We have regular meetings to discuss up coming events, new acquisitions or just chat about stuff. Often we have talks from a guest speaker these have included Norton Motor Cycles, pre 1940 commercial vehicles and such like.
All are welcome, so if you are interested in finding out more then hopefully this site will contain it. Do contact us via the details at the bottom of this page if you have any questions though.
The club was formed in 1980 with the intention of holding one or two vintage rallies in support of the gymkhana held at Hayescastle farm to help raise money for a cancer scanner in Carlisle. The idea to form a club came about after announcing the first vintage event publicly and following great support from local Vintage Enthusiasts. Read more..
Throughout the year we have regular club meetings, some quite special events and then there’s Jim’s Jaunts which are trips organised by noneless than Jim himself! These excursions are to some great venues but have very limited places so it’s usually ‘first-come-first served!’. Keep your eye on these pages for the latest news. Read more..
Anyone with the most basic knowledge of vintage vehicles will be fully aware of how difficult it is to find spares or for that matter, sell them. If you have something vintage that you want to sell, barter or give away then why not email email@example.com with a description and a photo and get it listed on the Sales & Wants page. Read more..
