About the club
The club was formed in 1980 with the intention of holding one or two vintage rallies in support of the gymkhana held at Hayescastle farm to raise money for a cancer scanner in Carlisle. The idea to form a club came about after announcing the first vintage event publicly and following support from local Vintage Enthusiasts. The main driving force behind the club was the late Syd Christopherson, late Alan Mattocks and approx 14 other local enthusiasts only two of which are still on the club committee, the majority having sadly passed away. Following the success of the first event, despite being a very wet day, the club has continued to grow to the present date when we have approx. 220 members.
In the early life of the club several ploughing matches working days were held in and around West Cumbria. Today the club is still going strong with Clubnights Club Trips and Events all being well supported by the members.
New members are always welcome, (see membership form)
